3rd Ave. Arts is the 501(c)(3)
umbrella organization for

  • Sacred Arts Festival. 2013 marks the festival's eighth year of celebrating artistic expressions of the sacred, including visual art, music and poetry.

  • Durango Bach Festival, a week-long festival of the music of J. S. Bach every March. The 2014 festival, March 16–22, includes a student recital, Bach's Lunch (half-hour recitals Monday through Friday followed by delicious lunches in the church Parish Hall), a mid-week concert and a closing concert. Our Bach to School program, piloted in 2011, will continue.

  • The Gallery at St. Mark's features the annual Sacred Arts Festival "ICON" exhibit in the fall, as well as local and regional artists in one-person and group exhibitions.

  • Durango Chamber Music Festival presents three concerts on January 10 & 11, 2014 in the great acoustics and beautiful, intimate space of St. Mark's Church.

  • St. Mark's Recital Series. Now in its ninth year, the series presents four professional recitals every year, routinely garnering critical acclaim.

  • Durango Salsa Festival. The Music. The Dance. The Condiment. A fun, one-day event to raise money for charity. Not scheduled for 2013. 3rd Ave. Arts needs other partner organizations to resume the festival. Contact us if interested!

  • 3rd Ave. Corner Shop is our "storefront," located in the Parish Hall at St. Mark's. Find books and gifts that "nurture heart, mind and soul" and merchandise that helps support our festivals.
